1964 Chevrolet Impala 409

This version of the full size car is equipped with go fast options from the factory.  It sports a 409 cubic inch engine rated at 400 horsepower and is backed up with a Muncie 4 speed transmission.  It originally was shipped from GM with 4:56 posi-trac rear gears but now a set of 3:73 gears make the big Chevy more drivable.  The Ermine White paint was resprayed 20 years ago and shines very nicely still today.

Having spent most of its life in Oklahoma the climate was good to the GM sheet metal and the car has all the body panels it was born with.  AM radio, high RPM redline tach, bench seat and a 4 speed shifter make cruisin’ in this full-size muscle car a real joy.
