24th Annual Spring Daytona Car Show & Swap Meet
Description

One of the first big shows of the season is always cause for celebration, even in sunny Florida where there are multiple shows every weekend. Big events are an opportunity to reacquaint with old friends, enjoy the car culture, and see the latest automotive trends. Now in its 24th year, the Daytona Spring show has been renamed and follows in the format of the legendary Turkey Run in the Fall. While the name may be different, some things remain the same and everyone still enjoys the laid-back, no-stress atmosphere where enjoyment is the weekend goal. Open to show worthy vehicles of all years, the event has become a Mecca for car clubs that add to the variety of vehicles on display. Like the Fall version, the Spring Turkey Run combines a huge gathering of custom vehicles in the infield at the Daytona International Speedway along with lots of vendors and a sprawling car corral. Hundreds of vehicles and thousands of spectators arrived this year, dodging intermittent rain showers that kept many enthusiasts at home. For those hardy souls who braved the elements, it turned out that the weather wasn’t all that bad. Like last year, the opportunity for a pace lap around the Daytona Speedway was the highlight of the event for many of the attendees.
