The 5th Annual CRUISIN for KIDS car, truck & motorcycle show was held on August 10, 2013.The event was held in the parking lot at Joe Neubert Collision Center (5086 Clinton Hwy.) Knoxville, Tennessee. This annual event is a fund raiser that purchases toys & clothes for underprivileged children in the area. This year we had a total of 142 registered participants. Not only a large local showing, but also vehicles once again from Georgia & North Carolina. Before the day was over we handed out 43 awards in 8 categories, plus people’s choice, best unfinished & club participation. New this year was the “”ELITE 5”” instead of best of show. The judges always have a hard decision selecting only 1 vehicle for best of show, so now they select the top 5. We would like to thank Harold Pena, president of the East TN Camaro Club for once again getting his club to come & support this show. For the last 3 years they have won the club participation award. It would be great for everyone to win, but unfortunately this is not possible. Our show continues to grow each year, but so does the list of children’s names. Even though you may not win an award you are all winners on Christmas day when the children are opening presents. Presents they would not have gotten without your support of this show.

For the last 2 years we have had a LIVE” Auction, which proves to be a lot of fun. Dash plaques to the 1st 100 to register, Door prizes, 50/50 Drawing, Music

Once again we had 160 sponsors. They donated door prizes, auction items, purchased our awards & t-shirts. There were 22 volunteers that donated their time to work the day of the show.

This year the show donated $3,753.27 to the Mission of Hope in Knoxville, Tennessee & $4,840.23 to the Loudon County Schools Family Resource Center. All of the clothes & toys are used in their Santa’s Helper Programs. Since this show started 5 years ago we have donated over $39,000 in clothes & toys to needy children.
