RACERS EDGE

RACERS EDGE Photos and text by Gary Rosier

Meet Bob Adams from Deland Florida, a former short track racer who originally ran all over the New England area. He’s raced modified‘s on dirt, asphalt, even ice! Bob once owned a cool race inspired bar/restaurant for about 10 years in Deland, Fl called…..you guessed it - Racers Edge.

Bob has always loved all types of cars and even currently owns several; including a 1975 Chevy Vega Cosworth (#918), a 1976 Monte Carlo and a 1973 Mustang Convertible as well as this 2013 Limited Edition Richard Petty (1 of only 3 made!) Dodge Challenger SRT. Bob loves all types of cars as you can see, but was attracted to the Dodges because he has been an even bigger fan of NASCAR for some time. Through his restaurant he met many of the NASCAR racers over time. His favorite drivers were Terry Labonte and Bobby Allison. When it was Richard Petty’s 50th Birthday bash at the Daytona Speedway, Bob met Richard in person and the Dodge affair was ON!
