The RRSRA is the oldest continuously operating Street Rod Club in the State of Louisiana, founded in 1973. With more than 40 years of experience in putting on car shows and rod runs is very evident when the RRSRA puts on a show. With a club membership of 85+ people from the northwest Louisiana and a avery active core group, their events are well publicized and attended by street rod enthusiasts from all over Louisiana and the surrounding states. Throughout the year club members attend other car events in the surrounding states and they distribute very colorful attractive flyers publicizing the event. The club has a web page ( that explains what the club is all about. It also contains a PayPal feature through which those interested can register for the Street Rod Reunion and pay their entry fee. One can also join the club and pay membership dues. Club members are very active in obtaining sponsorship donations from local businesses that have interests in supporting the club and its target beneficiary, the Shreveport - Bossier Rescue Mission. The top five vehicles selected in each of these two categories are given awards of $100 Cash plus a picture plaque. The Best of Show vehicle is the one receiving the most votes from both divisions. They receive an award of $100 Cash plus a picture plaque. In addition, there is a $100 Cash drawing for all who entered for a total of $1200 Cash awarded at the show.

NSRA provides certified safety inspectors for on-site inspection of participating cars as well as inspections of club members’ cars. While club members don’t vie for trophies or other awards, an area is reserved for them to show off their vehicles while they work the show.

One of the highlights of the 2015 show was the Best of Show winner, an absolutely stunning 1935 Hudson Terraplane owned by Kevin Smith, pictured here.

Several of the other top five cars from the pre and post groups are pictured. These are as fine a group of street rods as you will see anywhere in the country. Red River Street Rod Association was pleased and honored to have these outstanding vehicles choose to display their cars at the 2015 Street Rod Reunion
