SHELL FACTORY CRUISE-IN
Description

I have wanted to do another article on the Monday night cruise-in that was held weekly at Merchants Crossing for over eight years for some time now, but actually waited too long.  Merchants’ Crossing cruise-in was recently shut down by the malls new property owners.  Larry Day the promotor of this cruise-in had some bad days during the holidays as a representative of the new owners out of New York stopped by and told Larry that they did not allow car cruises on any of the properties they owned.  Even Applebee’s restaurant, also without any prior notice of the cruise-in being cancelled and one of the main sponsors of this weekly event tried to keep the show going at Merchants Crossing but to no avail. Applebee’s restaurant had just recently done a complete interior up date that included many murals on the walls including a few pictures of the Monday night cruise.   There was one of my car with the wife sitting in a lawn chair in front of the car.

I sure picked the right Monday January 18, 2016 to see the new location Monday Cruise-in as they had Butch Patrick as a guest with two cars featured in the ‘64 TV show the Munster’s.  At eleven years old Butch played Eddie Wolfgang Munster and now at age 62 people still seems to have a passion for this old TV show as they all wanted a picture with Butch.  Even my wife wanted a picture with Butch.  Now as usual sitting back and looking at the pictures I took will give you a real look at this new location for fun and cars.
