Billed as the “Epicenter of New Racing Technology” the 2014 version of the Performance Racing Industry trade show was a mind blowing experience. Held each December in Indianapolis, this “Trade Only” show draws over 1100 exhibiting companies, totaling over 3000 booths. Then there is machinery row featuring all of the latest in machinery available for race car fabrication, engine building, etc. The show fills every nook and cranny of the huge Indianapolis Convention Center.

The Grand Opening Breakfast featured two of the biggest names in drag racing's storied history: Don 'The Snake' Prudhomme and Tom 'The Mongoose' McEwen. After attendees and exhibitors ate breakfast in the Sagamore Ballroom of the Indiana Convention Center, they were entertained by MAVTV's Dave Despain as he conducted a lively and highly entertaining interview with the two famous drag racers.

While the PRI show is not a street rod show, the gearhead in us makes this a worth will trip.  Where else can you view the latest race cars from Grand Prix, Indy, NASCAR, NHRA, plus modifieds, sprint cars, midgets, etc., attend a number of conferences on various aspects of racing, and mingle at the after show parties with exhibitors and attendees.
