The 28th Annual Southeast Street Rod Nationals in Tampa, FL

It’s always good news when the NSRA team arrives in Florida. A family-oriented event with a huge collection of amazing vehicles, it becomes the perfect three-day weekend for any automotive enthusiast. Usually dominated by vehicles from the 50s, the event operates on a ‘Rolling Thirty’ rule that this year welcomed vehicles 1985 or older as well as high-performance muscle cars from the 60s and 70s. The strong turnout of twelve hundred competitors and an estimated six thousand spectators made this one of the more exciting events on the annual Florida show calendar.

Part of the event’s attraction is the combination of entertainment and the practical, like the free NSRA safety inspection for their owners, increasing both their peace of mind and probably the value of the vehicle at trading time. Wings Kallahan, the voice of NSRA, kept you informed throughout the day letting you know if you were one of the lucky door prize winners. Enjoy browsing through the swap meet vendors outside with their collection of pre-owned treasures. Then marvel at more than 50 commercial exhibitors inside, offering every imaginable accessory for your vehicle. Ladies enjoyed the Women’s World Exhibits and the kids loved the Revell “Make & Take” Model Car competition. Sunday morning’s Circle of Winners, chosen by NSRA reps the day before, quickly became the center of attention, with the best of the best lined up for review. As if the fun quotient wasn’t already high, there was the NSRA Super Prize Program that gave away more than $75,000 worth of merchandise along with three drawings for three thousand dollars each! It’s a car show combination that’s hard to beat. Get the details on the 2016 annual event at
