The 32nd Annual Ancient City Auto Club Show

Every year, the nation’s oldest city enjoys its oldest car show, attracting enthusiasts from throughout the Sunshine State. Now in its 32nd year, the Ancient City Auto Club car show has become a St. Augustine favorite, this year welcoming more than 200 vehicles to the beautiful tree-lined campus of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. Boasting more than three decades of experience, club members expedited registration and parking so that drivers could begin enjoying the collection of antiques, customs, street rods, motorcycles, and special interest vehicles on display. Throughout the day, spectators were entertained with music and trivia questions while listening to hear their numbers called for significant door prizes. While the guys were absorbed in car talk, there was even an opportunity for a little shopping for the gals, with the St. Augustine historic district just a short drive away. While everyone else played, the team of certified judges evaluated the vehicles on the field, readying for the 3 P.M. award ceremony. Plaques were presented to winners in 32 classes with drivers happy to take home a tangible reminder of this year’s show. Many stayed in town after the event for the nationally acclaimed Nights of Lights lighting ceremony in St. Augustine that occurred that evening. Put this event on your November, 2017 calendar.
