The Peace River Car Club held its 42nd annual invitational car show on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Gilchrist Park, Punta Gorda, Florida. This is one of the best places for a car show. It is held along the Peace River and has picnic tables, pavilions, indoor restrooms, shade trees and cool grass.

Breakfast and lunch was available through a variety of food truck vendors. Goody gags with product samples were provided to the first 150 pre-registered. There were lots of trophies, a 50/50 drawing and many door prizes. There was a $100 cash prize to the top 3 cars and $50 cash prizes for best paint, oldest car, newest car, and best un-restored car. The 50/50 drawing last year was over $600.
